How Bowie’s Green Team is Shaping a Greener Community
The Bowie Green Team Executive Committee is dedicated to advancing sustainability in the city. Tasked with creating, implementing, and annually revising a plan under the Sustainable Maryland Certified Program, the committee leads initiatives that engage residents, businesses, schools, and civic organizations to improve economic, environmental, and social sustainability in Bowie.
The Green Team focuses on educating the community about sustainable practices and developing policies that support eco-friendly local government actions. Comprising 12 voting members, the committee guides community-based solutions to strengthen Bowie’s sustainability efforts.

Get ready for a night of music and cinema like no other at the Last Knock & ZEKE The Awakening Red-Carpet Screening, hosted at the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts! This in-person event offers an exclusive VIP experience, where you can immerse yourself in the excitement of a double-feature movie premiere. Walk the red carpet, meet local celebrities, and mingle with the cast, directors, and executive producers who brought these films to life. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this glamorous KA ZARR Entertainment event—an evening that promises to be unforgettable!
"Last Knock" features Pastor Stevens, a respected community leader, who struggles with maintaining his image while concealing his own sins from his congregation.

Celebrate Fan Appreciation Week with the Bowie Baysox!
Get ready for a week of fun, surprises, and baseball as the Bowie Baysox celebrate Fan Appreciation Week from Tuesday, August 20, to Sunday, August 25, at Prince George’s Stadium! This special event is all about thanking the fans who have cheered on the Baysox, the Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, all season long.
Each day of the week will feature a different giveaway for the first 750 fans aged 13 and up who arrive at the stadium. It’s a mystery what you’ll get—so every game is a new adventure! The festivities kick off on Tuesday, August 20, when the Baysox face off against the Erie SeaWolves. The daily giveaways continue until Sunday, August 25, with each game offering a unique gift to lucky fans.
Don’t miss out on the chance to score some cool swag and enjoy some exciting baseball action—come out and celebrate with the Baysox!
