Building Confidence and Resilience: The Bowie Teen Mentoring Program

Are you eager to give back to the Bowie community and positively impact a young person's life? Then consider becoming a Bowie Mentor.

The Bowie Teen Mentoring Program (TMP) connects adult volunteers with students from Bowie High School and 8th graders from Samuel Ogle and Benjamin Tasker Middle Schools. Mentors and students meet weekly during lunch, fostering voluntary and mutually beneficial relationships. These regular meetings cultivate positive connections that can significantly impact a teen’s high school journey, personal life, and the broader community. By participating in TMP, students receive stable, caring support from adult mentors, boosting their confidence and resilience. The program's success lies in the dedication and voluntary involvement of both mentors and mentees, creating a nurturing environment for personal growth and development.
