Public Open House July 22: MD 197 Road Widening

The upcoming Public Open House for the MD 197 Road Widening project will provide a comprehensive look at the planned upgrades. Attendees will have the opportunity to view detailed design plans, maps, and various displays that highlight the proposed improvements. The event is designed to inform the community about the enhancements aimed at improving traffic flow and safety on MD 197. Participants will also have the chance to ask questions and provide feedback on the project. This meeting is an important step in ensuring public awareness and involvement in the development process. Everyone is encouraged to attend and learn more about the future changes to MD 197.

Unlock Your Family History at the Bowie Genealogy Workshop

Unlock your family’s past at the 250! Bowie Genealogy Workshop, hosted by the City of Bowie Museums in partnership with the Daughters of the American Revolution. The workshop is on July 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bowie Senior Center for a day of discovery and learning. This workshop caters to both beginners and advanced researchers with a series of engaging lectures on various genealogical topics. Meet local genealogical and historical organizations, and connect with fellow enthusiasts.
