Make a Difference in Bowie – Volunteer for City Committees

Residents of Bowie, have a unique opportunity to shape their community by volunteering for one of the city's various committees. These committees play a pivotal role in advising the City Council on a wide range of issues, including education, environment, and recreation. Interested individuals can contribute their skills and perspectives, ensuring diverse and comprehensive community representation.

To volunteer, residents must complete an application available on the City of Bowie's official website. The application process is straightforward, requiring basic personal information and a brief statement of interest. Applicants are encouraged to specify which committee they are interested in, as each has its specific focus and requirements.

Serving on a city committee not only allows individuals to have a direct impact on local governance but also enhances personal and professional growth by networking with other community-minded residents. It's a rewarding way to give back to the community and make Bowie a better place for everyone.

Some of the committees include the Advisory Planning Board, Financial Advisory Committee, Education Committee, Arts Committee and more.
