How to Dispose of Live Christmas Trees in Prince George’s County

Prince George’s County residents in the local area have the opportunity to recycle their live cut Christmas trees from January 8 to 30. For those who receive yard trim collection services, undecorated and unbagged Christmas trees should be placed at the curb by 6 a.m. on their regular yard trim collection day.

Alternatively, these trees can be taken to the Brown Station Road Public Container Pad and Recycling Center, located at 3601 Brown Station Road in Upper Marlboro. This facility welcomes residents for tree drop-offs from Monday to Saturday, between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. It's important to remember that all plastic bags, tinsel, and decorations need to be removed from the trees prior to recycling.

The Commanders Started Strong Against the 49ers But Lead to Loss

The Washington Commanders started out playing the San Francisco 49ers strong with a 13-10 score at half time. Even with a few big runs for Brian Robinson and a Terry McLaurin’s touchdown, the Commander’s couldn’t score in the second half; while Brock Purdy connected with Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuels and Elijah Mitchell made it to the end zone. The Commanders take on the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, January 7th.

The Washington Wizards

In a game that went down to the wire, Wizards Corey Kispert came off the bench and dropped 15 points and four assists in 18 minutes and Deni Avdija scored 17 12 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 31 minutes in a close loss to the Atlanta Hawks. Of the Hawks, Trey Young scored 40 points and 13 assists, Dejounte Murray added 32 points - with a final score of 130-126.
