Keeping Maryland Moving: Live Traffic Cameras from MDOT

From the Woodrow Wilson Bridge to 270 and more, the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) offers travelers a real-time window into the state's roadways through its extensive network of live traffic cameras. Available online, these cameras provide up-to-the-minute visuals of major highways, interstates, and critical commuter routes across the state.

Designed to enhance safety and efficiency, the cameras allow drivers to plan smarter routes by avoiding bottlenecks, accidents, or severe weather disruptions. For commuters, this means fewer surprises and more predictable travel times. Emergency responders and traffic managers also benefit, using the footage to swiftly assess incidents and deploy assistance.

Whether you're navigating I-95 during rush hour or checking conditions on the Bay Bridge, MDOT’s live traffic cams are a reliable resource. Accessible via the MDOT CHART website, they exemplify how technology can transform the daily commute—making Maryland’s roads safer, smoother, and better connected for everyone.
