Paper Shredding and Styrofoam Recycling Event in Bowie

Think twice before tossing that old bank statement or credit card offer in the trash! Those seemingly harmless papers could be a goldmine for identity thieves.

Shredding documents is one of the simplest ways to protect yourself from identity theft and fraud. Papers containing account numbers, Social Security numbers, medical information, or other personal details should never go straight into the garbage.

Regular shredding also helps reduce clutter, keeps your home organized, and provides peace of mind. Don't forget about old tax documents, expired insurance paperwork, and unwanted financial offers!

Here's a smart habit: Set aside sensitive documents in a secure spot and schedule a monthly shredding session.

Remember, protecting your identity starts with the little things. When in doubt, shred it!
