The Bowie City Council focused on infrastructure improvements, technology upgrades, and economic development initiatives. Council reviewed contracts for street resurfacing, 5th Street reconstruction, street light repairs, and other public works projects totaling several million dollars.

Council also received updates from the Maryland Women's Business Center, the Bowie Business Innovation Center, and the City's legislative affairs team.

Key development items included a proposed new Arby's restaurant at Mill Branch Crossing, adoption of the FY2027 Community Development Block Grant Action Plan, and consideration of a $150,000 incentive grant to help bring Paris Baguette to Bowie Town Center.

Overall, the meeting highlighted continued investments in city infrastructure, support for local businesses, and efforts to attract new dining and economic opportunities to Bowie.
