Join Bowie’s 2026 Memorial Day Celebration on May 23

Thank you to all that serve. This Memorial Day is a sacred time to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to the United States, while also recognizing veterans and active-duty military who continue to protect our freedom. This year, the City of Bowie’s 2026 Memorial Day Parade carries even deeper meaning as the nation celebrates the 250th anniversary of America’s founding.

Families, veterans, marching bands, and community groups will fill the streets with patriotic pride as the parade steps off from the Belair Annex on Belair Drive at 11 a.m. The procession will travel along Belair Drive, turn onto Sussex Lane, and conclude near Stonybrook Drive. Spectators can enjoy bleacher seating near the reviewing stand or gather curbside along the route. Bring your flags, your family, and your gratitude for a moving celebration of courage, sacrifice, and unity.

Get ready for an exciting adventure across Bowie during the City-Wide Scavenger Hunt happening May 31 through June 5! This fun-filled community event invites residents and visitors to explore the unique sights, sounds, and hidden gems that make Bowie such a special place to live and visit.

Participants will follow clues, complete challenges, and discover locations throughout the city while enjoying friendly competition and creating lasting memories with family and friends. Whether you’re a longtime resident or new to the area, the scavenger hunt offers a fresh and interactive way to experience the community.

Organizers encourage everyone to stay tuned for additional details, including official instructions and challenge information, which will be posted on the event webpage and shared on social media. Gather your team, charge your phones, and prepare to explore Bowie in a whole new way during this exciting city-wide adventure!

Dash In Mill Branch Community Days on May 21 & 22 in Bowie

Dash In celebrates the grand opening of its newest Bowie location bringing its elevated convenience store and car wash experience to Bowie.
The event begins Thursday, May 21 at 12 noon and continues to Friday, May 22 at 9:00 a.m.

Dash In will donate a total of $19,000 to local community organizations, reinforcing its commitment to the Bowie community. The two-day event will feature Dash In’s signature “First Cut” ceremony, complimentary food tastings from Dash In’s made-to-order menu, free car washes, live entertainment, giveaways, and opportunities for guests to enroll in Dash In Rewards.

Guests will also have the chance to enter to win 50 cents off fuel per gallon for one year.
