The City of Bowie will host a pit stop at Bowie City Hall from 7:00am to 10:30am.

Save the Date: Ready, Set, VOTE: meet your primary candidates May 17

This is a free community event where people can meet County, State, and Federal candidates running in the June 23 Primary Election for seats in Prince George's County and Congressional District 5. Attendees can speak one-to-one with candidates, register to vote, donate or select food and household goods, and participate in crafts. All ages welcome!

Meet Megan Ritter, fired fed who pivoted to a new path—one rooted in community, connection, and great coffee. Now the owner of The Whimsical Welcome, a coffee trailer based in Old Town Bowie, she has created a space where neighbors can gather and enjoy something special. You’ll often find her serving at local favorites like Kitty Hall and the Whitehall Pool community yard sale.

Megan’s menu offers more than your typical cup of coffee. She specializes in handcrafted spiced blends, grinding whole spices with coffee beans to create rich flavor without added sweetness. Her signature spiced cold brew features a unique blackberry cinnamon tea base.

She also serves homemade treats like fresh scones, muffins, and her popular cookie fries—making each visit feel warm, local, and memorable.
