“Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.” ~ Edith Sitwell

A New Chapter for Bowie Town Center
A new chapter is beginning for Bowie Town Center as the shopping and dining destination has been sold to a partnership between Nile Equity Group and Community Realty Co. The transaction signals fresh momentum for the heart of retail and entertainment in Bowie.
The new ownership group plans to focus on thoughtful reinvestment and long-term improvements aimed at enhancing the overall experience for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. Proposed plans include updates to common areas, attracting a stronger mix of retail, dining, and lifestyle tenants, and making targeted property upgrades that support a more vibrant, walkable environment.
Local stakeholders see the sale as a positive step toward continued revitalization. With new energy and investment, Bowie Town Center is positioned to grow into an even more dynamic community gathering place for years to come.

City of Bowie & PG County Experts Break Down Commercial Permits
The City of Bowie, in partnership with the Prince George's County Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement, will host a Commercial Permitting Information Session on Tuesday, February 10th from 10:00am - 11:00am, for anyone planning a commercial project in Bowie or Prince George’s County.
This session is designed to help new and existing business owners, developers, property owners, and project teams better understand permitting requirements and how City and County processes work together. Attendees will learn about common permits for commercial, retail, and restaurant projects, typical timelines, approval steps, and strategies to avoid delays.
Participants will also gain access to helpful resources and have the opportunity to connect directly with City and County representatives. The goal is to provide clear, transparent information that supports smoother project planning and long-term business success.
