Road Crews Working Hard Across Our City and the Plow Tracker

Prince George’s County crews are working around the clock to keep roads safe in Bowie and across the county following recent snow and icy conditions. The Department of Public Works & Transportation pre-treated major routes ahead of the storm and has deployed plows and salt trucks throughout Bowie neighborhoods, along main corridors, and on secondary roads to clear snow and reduce slick spots.

Bowie residents are encouraged to limit unnecessary travel, move parked vehicles off streets when possible, and report hazardous conditions using the PGC311 app.

To help residents stay informed, the County offers a Snow Plow Tracker (PGCTrackSnow) that allows you to enter your Bowie address and see when your street has been plowed or treated. The real-time tool adds transparency to snow removal efforts as crews continue working through Bowie and surrounding communities.

Reporting Road Concerns by contacting 311 or 301-883-4748 to report non-emergency roadway concerns or snow removal issues. For urgent or emergency situations, please contact authorities immediately.

Street Lights Out in Bowie - Here’s How to Report Them

Street lights are essential to safety and quality of life in Bowie. They help drivers see clearly, make streets safer for pedestrians and cyclists, and provide residents with a greater sense of security after dark. Proper lighting also supports neighborhood activity, from evening walks to early morning commutes. When street lights are out, visibility is reduced and safety concerns increase, making it important for residents to report outages so they can be addressed quickly.
