What’s Next for Bowie Town Center? Find Out Today at 3:30 PM
Today, Thursday November 13 at 3:30pm the Urban Land Institute will meet at Bowie City Hall to make recommendations for Bowie Town Center. Our Bowie community is invited to interview project stakeholders, explore strategies, and develop recommendations for revitalizing Bowie Town Center. Come to hear the team’s findings and recommendations during a public presentation. Attend in person at Bowie City Hall 15901 Fred Robinson Way or watch live on the City of Bowie YouTube Channel.

Heroes Among Us: Bowie Residents Rescue Family Trapped Under Fallen Tree
Two Good Samaritans are being honored for their bravery after rescuing a family trapped in a car during a powerful July storm in Bowie. When a large tree fell on the vehicle, Carlos Winston and high school student Zachary Canter rushed to the scene, clearing debris to free the trapped family of five before emergency crews arrived. The pair also provided first aid, earning praise from the community for their quick thinking and heroic actions.
County and State - Federal Government Shutdown Resources
As one of the closest jurisdictions to Washington, D.C., Prince George’s County is home to thousands of federal employees and contractors. In light of the current challenges facing the federal government, County officials are reaffirming their commitment to supporting local residents impacted by any disruptions.
Leadership in the County recognizes the critical role federal workers play in the region and is focused on maintaining residents' quality of life during this uncertain time. Efforts are underway to coordinate closely with state and federal partners to provide timely resources, services, and updates.
With a unified approach, Prince George’s County is working to ensure that families have the support they need, standing together as “One County United.”
