Quote of the Day
“If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.” ~ Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Mentor. Inspire. Impact. Join Bowie’s Teen Mentor Program Today

The Bowie Youth & Family Services invites caring adults to volunteer for its Teen Mentor Program—a rewarding opportunity to invest in the future of Bowie’s youth. With a time commitment of just one hour a week during the 2025–2026 school year mentors meet with students during lunch breaks to build trust, offer encouragement, and provide a consistent, positive presence.
Mentoring isn’t just beneficial for teens—it’s enriching for mentors too. Volunteers often report increased fulfillment, a stronger connection to their community, and a sense of purpose knowing they’re helping young people grow in confidence, resilience, and academic motivation.
Whether you’re retired, working, or somewhere in between, you can make a lasting impact in a teens life. No special background is needed—just a willingness to listen, guide, and care.
Help shape a brighter future in Bowie.
