“Goals. There’s no telling what you can do when you get inspired by them. There’s no telling what you can do when you believe in them. There’s no telling what will happen when you act upon them.” ~ Jim Rohn

The Bowie Farmer’s Market Kickoff This Sunday

The Bowie Farmers Market is set to kick off its 2025 season on Sunday, May 18, from 9:00am to 1:00pm, in the parking lot of Bowie High School at 15200 Annapolis Road. Running every Sunday through October, the market offers a vibrant selection of fresh produce, baked goods, meats, flowers, plants, and handcrafted items.
This year's market features an expanded roster of vendors, including weekly and bi-weekly participants. Shoppers can look forward to offerings from local favorites such as Valencia's Farms, Doug's Honey Farm, and Vic's Homemade Goodies. New additions like MULU Fest Ethiopian Food Truck and Pure Microgreens bring diverse flavors and products to the market.
The Bowie Farmers Market is more than just a place to shop—it's a community gathering spot where residents can connect, support local businesses, and enjoy the bounty of the region.
You Could Be Owed Money – Check Maryland’s Unclaimed Property List
Every year, millions of dollars in unclaimed property sit waiting for rightful owners in Maryland. Unclaimed property in Maryland refers to financial assets that have been left inactive or untouched by their owners for a certain period, typically three years. This can include dormant bank accounts, uncashed payroll or refund checks, insurance payouts, stocks, bonds, and even the contents of safe deposit boxes. When businesses or institutions can no longer reach the rightful owner, the assets are turned over to the Maryland Comptroller’s Office for safekeeping.
You might be surprised to learn that you or a family member could have unclaimed property just waiting to be claimed. If you’ve ever moved, changed jobs, or switched banks, you might have money waiting for you. Fortunately, claiming it is simple and free. Just visit the official Maryland Unclaimed Property website and search for your name. If there’s a match, you can file a claim online or by mail, depending on the type of property.
No fees are involved, and there’s no deadline—your property remains available until you claim it. Take a few minutes to check today. You might be surprised to find forgotten funds waiting to be reunited with you.
