Accepting Nominations: Honoring the Legacy of Bowie’s Hall of Honor
The Hall of Honor in Bowie shines as a symbol of gratitude and remembrance, celebrating those who helped shape the city’s heart and future. Since its creation in 1991, it has recognized residents whose unwavering service and dedication left a permanent imprint on the community. It stands not merely as a collection of plaques, but as a living testament to the courage, generosity, and vision that define Bowie’s spirit.
Every inductee represents a story of impact—a teacher who shaped lives, a civic leader who sparked change, or a volunteer who gave tirelessly for the greater good. Though they are no longer with us, their legacies live on in the city’s streets, schools, and shared memories.
Through heartfelt nominations and annual ceremonies, Bowie preserves its rich history while inspiring future generations to make a difference. The Hall of Honor reminds us that one person’s passion and purpose can transform an entire community.
Nominations must be received no later than 5:00 PM on Monday, March 3, 2025
Take Center Stage in Bowie This Summer!
Attention bands and performance groups—here’s your chance to be part of something special! The 2025 Summer Sunset Concert Series is searching for dynamic performers to bring music to life in an unforgettable outdoor setting. If you’ve got the talent, energy, and crowd-pleasing vibe, we want to hear from you!
The series welcomes a diverse range of genres—rock, jazz, folk, funk, and everything in between. Share your sound and help us create the soundtrack of summer.
To be considered, complete the Band Submission Form by February 28, 2025. Submissions will be reviewed, and selected groups will be contacted in late March.
