As 2024 winds down, it’s time to reflect on a year full of growth, challenges, and celebrations. Whether you spent the year chasing dreams, building connections, or simply savoring the small moments, each experience has shaped your story. Now, 2025 is right around the corner, bringing fresh opportunities and a clean slate to start anew.

For many, this is the season to set goals and embrace the tradition of New Year’s resolutions. From trying new hobbies to prioritizing health or giving back to the community, there’s no shortage of ways to make the year ahead meaningful.

Stay Connected With Bowie’s TV Channels

The City of Bowie operates multiple channels to keep residents informed and engaged. On Verizon Channel 10/Comcast Channel 71 (HD: Channel 996), residents can watch live broadcasts of City Council meetings, as well as rebroadcasts on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7 PM. The channel also features updates on city events, special programs like Bowiefest highlights, and more. For on-demand viewing, visit cityofbowie.org/viewmeetings. Closed captioning for meetings is available on the City of Bowie YouTube channel.

The Bowie Community Media Corporation (Verizon 11/Comcast 77) offers public access programming and a community bulletin board for local events. Residents can train to produce their own shows by completing the necessary forms and paying an annual fee.

For public safety updates and Baltimore news, tune in to Verizon 12/Comcast 78, featuring WJZ broadcasts at designated times. Stay connected, Bowie!

Bowie Police Department Shines on FOXn5 DC's DMV Zone with Joe Clair 📺

The Bowie Police Department brought their community spirit to FOX5DC’s DMV Zone with host Joe Clair and MarinaMarraco, shining a light on their impactful programs, including the much-loved Shop with a Cop initiative. This annual event pairs officers with local children for a day of holiday shopping, fostering positive relationships and spreading joy. The last day to make donations is December 13.
