Maryland has earned the prestigious title of the No. 1 state for minority-owned businesses, according to a recent analysis by LendingTree. This recognition highlights the state’s thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem and commitment to fostering diversity in business.

The analysis evaluated factors such as the percentage of businesses owned by minorities, revenue generated, and access to funding opportunities. Maryland stood out with an impressive 32.6% of its businesses being minority-owned—well above the national average.
