Doing Business with the City of Bowie, Open, Fair, and Competitive

The City of Bowie’s procurement process ensures open, fair competition to secure quality products and services at the best prices. Governed by Section 61 of the City Charter and Section 19A of the City Code, the process upholds high standards in public procurement. Vendors must be registered and in good standing with the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation (SDAT). For registration assistance, contact SDAT at 410-767-1340.

The City utilizes eMaryland Marketplace Advantage (eMMA) for competitive procurements exceeding $25,000. Vendors can register at eMMA for solicitation updates. Responses to solicitations are accepted exclusively through Bid Locker, a secure platform for bid submissions and document access. Register at Bid Locker at no cost to participate. All new solicitations are posted to Bid Locker.
