Honoring Veterans at Bowie Senior Center

On November 8 at 12:30 p.m., VFW Post 8065 will host a Veterans Day program at the Bowie Senior Center. Dr. Donjuan Williams, retired Chief Warrant Officer of the U.S. Army Reserves, will be the guest speaker, sharing insights from his service. The Bowie Senior Chorale will also perform patriotic music to honor our veterans. Light refreshments will be available. This event is free and open to the public, and all are invited to come together to celebrate and honor the contributions of our veterans.

Free Rabies Vaccine & Microchip Clinic - November 9th

Ensuring pets receive rabies vaccines and are microchipped is essential for their safety and the community’s wellbeing. Rabies is a deadly virus that can spread to humans and other animals through bites, making vaccination critical for prevention. Vaccinating pets protects them and helps control the disease in local animal populations. Microchipping is equally important, as it provides a permanent form of identification, increasing the chances of reuniting lost pets with their owners. In emergencies, having a microchip can save time and reduce stress. Together, rabies vaccines and microchips are simple, effective ways to keep pets healthy and safely at home.
