Today, Tuesday, November 5, is Election Day. Your voice matters!
If you didn’t vote early then today is the day to vote in the General Election.
If you haven’t registered yet, don’t worry—Maryland offers same-day voter registration. Simply head to your polling place, bring the required ID, and register right there before voting. This makes it easier than ever to participate and let your voice be heard.
Every vote adds to the community’s shared vision, so take part and make November 5 a day of action, unity, and impact.
Please note that the Bowie City Gym is NOT a polling location on Election Day.

Grant Applications Open for Prince George’s Domestic Violence Support Program
Are you an organization that provides domestic violence services? The Prince George’s County Council has allocated $500,000 in FY 2025 to support the Domestic Violence Grant Program, dedicated to ending domestic violence within the community. This funding assists nonprofit organizations offering essential services like housing, workforce development, counseling, mental health support, legal advocacy, and other resources for survivors. The program also funds initiatives focused on preventing domestic violence through coordinated community efforts.
Nonprofit organizations interested in applying for the FY 2025 grant must complete an application, available through the County Council's website or by contacting the Office of Finance, Grants Division. Applications are due by Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 11:59pm. The council encourages eligible organizations to apply and contribute to building a safer, more supportive community for all.
