Calling all Artists for Upcoming Bowie Exhibition

The City of Bowie Arts Committee is calling for artists to submit their work for an upcoming exhibition themed “Hope and Joy.” This exhibit will celebrate the uplifting emotions of optimism and happiness, encouraging artists to showcase their interpretation of these positive feelings. Submissions may feature bright colors, joyful imagery, or heartwarming forms that convey a sense of hope and joy. Artists can submit up to three pieces for consideration. This is a wonderful opportunity for local creatives to share artwork that brings light and warmth to the community. The Arts Committee invites all artists to contribute to this vibrant and inspiring display, which aims to uplift spirits and foster a sense of connection through art.

As autumn arrives in Bowie the city transforms into a breathtaking canvas of vibrant fall colors. The trees lining the streets and parks burst into shades of fiery red, golden yellow, and warm orange, creating a stunning contrast against the crisp, blue skies. Many of our tree lined streets becomes a picturesque escape, where the reflections of fall foliage shimmer on the water, inviting peaceful strolls. Families gather at our parks to enjoy the brisk air and scenic views, as leaves crunch underfoot. Whether you're taking a drive through Allen Pond, our charming neighborhoods or enjoying a walk along the many trails, the beauty of fall in this Maryland suburb is undeniable. It's a season that brings both a sense of calm and a reminder of nature's ever-changing, spectacular display.
