Bowie’s Environmental Advisory Committee: Advocating for a Greener Future

The Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC) in Bowie, plays a vital role in shaping the city’s environmental policies and promoting sustainability. Tasked by the City Council, the EAC works on issues such as energy efficiency, pollution prevention, and tree canopy preservation. Its mission is to recommend initiatives that protect natural resources, enhance wildlife habitats, and educate the public on green practices.

The committee’s efforts include public outreach and programs aimed at encouraging renewable energy use and watershed stewardship. By advising on key environmental strategies and raising awareness, the EAC is helping Bowie build a more sustainable and resilient community. Residents are encouraged to engage with the EAC to learn more and participate in creating a healthier environment for all.
